Two Deer With Antlers Resting and Standing Together

Two Deer With Antlers Resting and Standing Together coloring page

Coloring guide

A deer lies on the ground in the foreground with its legs folded under its body, its head turned to look toward the viewer. It has one long ear sticking out to the side and a single branching antler rising above its head. Behind its back, a second deer stands with its head lowered toward the right side of the page, with a small pointed ear and a round nose. The standing deer's thin legs show between the resting deer's neck and back. The lines are clean and the shapes are large, so younger kids can color them without much trouble. Try giving the two deer different coat shades, like warm tan for the resting one and a deeper brown for the one behind, so the overlapping bodies are easy to tell apart. It's also a nice way to talk about how deer rest and graze. Print as many copies as you need for a class.
