Two Grumpy Friends Marching in a SpongeBob SquarePants Page
Coloring guide
Two cranky pals stomp across this page. Patrick Star is on the left with a frown, heavy-lidded scowling eyes, and one arm bent across his chest as he strides ahead in his patterned swim shorts. On the right, SpongeBob marches with wide, furious eyes, gritted square teeth and pumping fists, wearing his shirt, tie and square pants. There's no background, so kids can draw in their own scenery. The Bob l'éponge logo sits in the top corner. Big shapes and bold outlines make it easy for small hands, and it's a nice free printable for a rainy afternoon. Pink for Patrick with purple or green flowers on his shorts, and bright yellow for SpongeBob, will make the pair pop side by side. Kids who like SpongeBob SquarePants coloring pages usually enjoy The Flintstones and Calico Critters too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- soft pink
- bright yellow
- lime green
- lavender purple
- chocolate brown
- golden brown
- crimson red
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with Patrick's big body, pointed top, arms and feet: fill them with soft pink.
- 2Color SpongeBob's square body, both hands and the logo letters and flower with bright yellow, leaving his eye whites, teeth and shirt collar white.
- 3Fill Patrick's swim shorts with lime green, then add lavender purple blotches across them.
- 4Color SpongeBob's pants chocolate brown, his left pant leg golden brown, and his tie crimson red.
- 5Optional: add a little darker soft pink under Patrick's arms and a deeper yellow on the edges of SpongeBob to make the page feel more dimensional.
