Rocket Ship Adventure for Puppy Dog Pals in Space
Coloring guide
Two puppies peer over the side of a chunky rocket ship, each in a round bubble space helmet and a collar. The pup on the left has pointed ears, a bit like a husky or shepherd puppy, while the one on the right has soft floppy ears. Tongues are out and paws rest on the rocket. The ship has a big round porthole ringed with little rivets, angled fins and a jagged flame streaming behind it. Floating around them are a smiling crescent moon, a ringed planet with a happy face, a striped planet and a small cratered moon, plus plenty of stars and dots. A bright red rocket with a sunny orange and yellow flame looks great, and it helps to give each pup a different fur color. Print it at home for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big rocket hull and its side panels light gray, leaving the porthole window for later.
- 2Fill both fins and the bottom fin with cherry red, and color the left flame orange.
- 3Fill the porthole window with sky blue and its outer ring with royal blue, then add the bolts in royal blue.
- 4Color both astronaut helmets pale blue, and add royal blue or sky blue collars. Keep the cat's face and chest and the dog's paw white.
- 5Color the dog's face and ears soft honey and the cat's ears coral pink. Add cream yellow to the dog's collar and the right flame.
- 6Finish with the moon and Saturn in lemon yellow and sunny yellow, the planets in teal blue and sky blue, and the stars in bright yellow. Optional: add light shading along one side of the rocket and planets with a slightly darker tone of the same color.
