Two open-wheel race cars sit next to each other on a straight track, and each has a smiling helmeted driver holding the steering wheel. Both cars have big rear wings, chunky tires and wide front wings, so there are lots of shapes to fill in. The track heads off toward the horizon between two walls. Grandstands full of cheering spectators line each side, with tall flagpoles and waving flags above them. Two puffy clouds float overhead, and painted lines cross the road in front. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the road and track by coloring the road surface and both road edges in medium gray, leaving the center stripes white.
- 2Color the grass patches on both sides of the track in grass green, and the grandstand roofs in slate blue.
- 3Fill the left race car's body, nose and front wing in bright red, and the right race car's body, nose and front wing in bright blue.
- 4Color the tires of both cars in charcoal gray, and the track walls and stands in light gray, leaving the white parts of the wings and nose panels white.
- 5Add the driver faces in peach skin tone and the left helmet in brick red, keeping the eye whites white.
- 6Optional: Add light shading to the tires and track with a slightly darker gray for a bit of depth.
