Two best friends stand side by side with matching frowns. Patrick Star is on the left, tall and pointy-headed, with big worried eyes, raised eyebrows, a round belly with a few spots and his patterned shorts. On the right is SpongeBob, a square sponge with big sparkly eyes, freckles, a long nose and a downturned mouth. He's in his collared shirt, tie, square pants and round black shoes. Both have their arms down at their sides. The Nickelodeon Bob l'éponge logo sits in the top corner. With no background scene, the characters are easy to color. Soft pink for Patrick's body, purple or green in the shorts pattern and bright yellow for SpongeBob should do it. The free PDF prints at home for a class project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with Patrick's big star body and head: fill them with coral pink, leaving his eyes, eyebrows and the white area around his eyes untouched.
- 2Color SpongeBob's square face and body with golden yellow, keeping his eye whites, arms and shirt collar white.
- 3Fill Patrick's shorts with lime green, then add lavender purple patches, leaving the white band at the waistband uncolored.
- 4Color SpongeBob's pants warm brown, add a bright red tie, and use light tan for his legs and the tips of his shoes.
- 5Add olive green spots to SpongeBob's face and cheeks, then fill the logo letters with golden yellow and the splash behind them with sky blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under Patrick's belly and along SpongeBob's pants edges for more depth.
