Tying a Ribbon on a Fluffy Cat with Barbie
Coloring guide
Leaning over a table, Barbie smiles as she ties a ribbon around a cat's neck. She has long straight hair and a headband. The cat sits up next to her with big eyes, long whiskers and a tall, fluffy, curved tail. A starburst-shaped tag hangs from the collar, with a little label that says CAT. Barbie's outfit is a sleeveless top with ruffled trim, a flower-like pendant at the neckline and a bow tied at the waist. Between the ruffles and the cat's fur there are plenty of small areas to color, and the lines are clean and easy to follow. Soft lavender or pink fits her outfit, and a bright gold starburst will stand out nicely against a cream or gray cat. Print the free PDF for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the long hair and the top of the head with golden yellow, leaving a few thin light streaks uncolored for shine.
- 2Color the face, neck, chest and hands with light peach, keeping the eye whites and the cat's white fur untouched.
- 3Paint the dress, skirt and sleeves with sky blue, and add bright blue to the deeper folds of the skirt.
- 4Color the pink headband, hair ties, ribbons and sleeve cuffs with coral pink, and the top of the headband with peach orange.
- 5Add the cat's collar in cherry red, its tag and bell in warm gray, and the spiky star behind the tag in golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a little dark slate blue shading under the hair and along the dress folds for depth.
