Octopus, Sea Turtle and Fish Around an Underwater Volcano
Coloring guide
In the foreground of this underwater scene, a smiling octopus waves its curly tentacles while a small volcano bubbles behind it, sending a stream of round bubbles up through the water. A friendly sea turtle with a patterned shell swims at the upper left, and a round striped fish with a big smile floats at the upper right. Tiny fish are scattered across the top, and a cheerful starfish and a ridged shell sit in the bottom left corner. Tall wavy seaweed frames both sides, and the seafloor is full of branching coral, tube sponges and rounded rocks. There's a nice mix here, with big open areas on the octopus head and small detailed spots on the turtle shell. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the octopus body and tentacles with lavender purple, leaving the small suction-cup circles on the tentacles white.
- 2Fill the sandy seafloor and the bottom sand patches with sand beige, then color the starfish body in tangerine orange.
- 3Color the volcano and its rocky slopes with warm brown, and fill the turtle shell with dark green, leaving the turtle head with pale lime.
- 4Add the fish body in tangerine orange and red orange stripes, keeping the fish eye shine and fin highlights white.
- 5Color the seaweed and corals with leaf green and dark green, then add golden yellow and coral pink to the sponges and corals at the bottom right.
- 6Optional: Add light gray to the rocks and clam shell, and sky blue to the bubble above the volcano, keeping the background water white.
