A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the hills and the left and right grass in grass green, and the bushes on the right in forest green.
- 2Color the volcano body in brown and its lava streaks in orange, then fill the small cloud in sky blue and leave the smoke puff white.
- 3Color the jacket in red, including the sleeves, collar and shoulders, and fill the face, hands and ear in peach.
- 4Color the pants and cargo pockets in olive green, the ponytail and hair in dark brown, and the helmet in golden yellow with a dark gray strap.
- 5Fill the backpack in bright blue with steel blue straps, color the clipboard tan brown, and finish the boots, rocks and hammer in dark gray, light gray and medium gray. Leave the headlamp shine and hair highlight white.
- 6Optional: add light shading on the jacket and pants with a slightly darker shade of the same color for more depth.
