Stars and Stripes Rippling in the Wind on a Slim Pole

Stars and Stripes Rippling in the Wind on a Slim Pole coloring page

Coloring guide

A large American flag ripples in the wind, attached to a slim pole with a round ball on top. The flag has a rectangle of small outlined stars in the upper left corner, and long stripes that curve and fold in soft waves across the page. The stripes are drawn as thin empty bands, so there is plenty of room for crayons or colored pencils. Kids can alternate red and white for the stripes and use blue for the star section, leaving the stars white. It also works well for a quick lesson before Independence Day. Count the stripes together, then talk about why the flag has them. You can print it for free and hang the finished flag on a classroom wall or the fridge.
