Two letters say hello to each other on this page, spelling out HI in bubble letters. The H is chunky and rounded, with a small waving hand on its left side and little motion lines beside it. The I next to it has a big smiling face with round eyes and an open mouth, and it waves back with its own hand on the right. Two outlined stars and two hearts float around them, one pair at the top and one at the bottom, leaving lots of open space. Simple, wide shapes are easy to color inside, so preschoolers and early elementary kids should do fine. A sky blue H and a sunny yellow I, then pink hearts and purple stars, would look cheerful. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color both big bubble letters and both arms with sky blue, leaving the thin gaps between the letters white.
- 2Fill the top left star, bottom right star, and both waving hands with golden yellow.
- 3Color the top right heart with coral red and the bottom left heart with hot pink.
- 4Color the open mouth with coral red, keeping the small teeth area white if you like.
- 5Leave the two eye whites and the small highlight on the right arm white so the face looks bright.
- 6Optional: add light back-and-forth strokes in the same colors to give the letters a textured, hand-colored look like the example.
