Waving Mackenzie the Border Collie from Bluey
Coloring guide
Mackenzie stands upright on two legs with one paw lifted in a friendly wave, while the other arm hangs at his side. He has big round eyes with small pupils, one tall pointed ear, one floppy folded ear and a fluffy tuft of fur on top of his head. His mouth is open like he's in the middle of a sentence, and a scruffy fur ruffle runs down his chest. A fluffy tail sticks out behind him. The background is plain white, with the Bluey logo at the top and his name in bubble letters along the bottom, which is good for name practice. Big shapes make this easy for small hands. A warm red-orange or classic brown-and-white coat would look good, with a bright color for his tongue. Print or download this free page for classroom time or a rainy day. Looking for more? A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- charcoal gray
- sky blue
- warm beige
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the Bluey and Mackenzie title letters: fill the outlines with sky blue, and leave the small inner spaces of the letters white.
- 2Color the dog's fur in charcoal gray: the cheek fluff, both ears, the left paw, the right head patch, the nose, the tongue and the left front leg.
- 3Add the warm beige patch inside the left ear and a coral pink inner shade inside the right ear.
- 4Fill the bottom of the right front leg with charcoal gray, and keep the chest, muzzle, tail, waving arm and feet white.
- 5Finish the face: keep the eye whites, eyebrows, forehead patch and the bright spot on the nose white, and add the small shadows in charcoal gray.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra charcoal gray along the edges of the shadows to make the dog look softer and more lively.
