Friendly Monkey Waving Beside a Leafy Vine

Coloring guide
A smiling cartoon monkey stands upright, waving hello with one hand and holding a long, thin vine with the other. The vine runs down the right side of the page with several leaves along it, which are fun to color one at a time. The monkey has big round ears, wide eyes, an open happy mouth and a small tuft of hair. You'll also see a large oval belly patch, a curly tail looping on the left, and big feet with rounded toes. Bold lines and roomy shapes mean younger kids can color without much frustration. It's a good free printable for a quiet afternoon or a classroom animal unit. Warm brown fur, a pale tan face, ears and belly, and fresh green vine leaves would do nicely. If you enjoyed this Monkey page, don't miss our Dragonfly and Goat coloring pages.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- chocolate brown
- peach beige
- leaf green
- light pink
- salmon pink
- brick red
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the monkey's fur in chocolate brown: the head tuft, outer ears, waving arm, curled tail, legs and feet.
- 2Fill the face, the oval belly patch and the grabbing hand with peach beige, leaving the eye whites bright white.
- 3Color the inner ears in light pink and the open smiling mouth in salmon pink, then add a little brick red inside the mouth.
- 4Fill the vine and all five leaves with leaf green, keeping the small white gap along the vine and the background white.
- 5Optional: add a light second layer of chocolate brown on the tail and arm edges, or a touch of darker peach on the cheeks, for depth.
