A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky: paint the clouds in pale sky blue, then fill the bushes and grass patches with grass green, and the right lawn with lime green.
- 2Color the castle walls and tower walls in cream beige, the tall and small roofs in lavender purple, and the flags in rose pink.
- 3Fill the princess's dress: use rose pink for the front skirt panels and lavender purple for the side overskirts and the sash bow, then add a hot pink heart on the bodice.
- 4Paint the bodice and puffy sleeves in light pink and rose pink, and the face, arms and hands in soft peach. Leave the eyes' whites and small highlights uncolored.
- 5Color the hair, tiara and waving hand details in golden yellow, then fill the castle door in wood brown and the door handles in light gray.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading in the folds of the skirt and under the bushes to make the drawing look more lively.
