Winged Serpent Dragon With Open Mouth and Spread Wings

Coloring guide
A long, snake-like dragon curls into an S shape with its head turned toward us. Its mouth is open and shows sharp teeth, and its eyebrows slant down in a fierce look. A row of small spikes runs along the back of its neck. The belly is drawn with horizontal bands, and the tail ends in a curl on the left side. Two big bat-style wings stretch out behind it, each with a clawed tip at the top and scalloped edges along the bottom. The lines are clean and bold, so the large wing panels and the banded body are easy to color in. Try giving the belly bands one color and the scaly back another, then use two or three shades across the wings to practice blending. It also works well for a short lesson on how reptiles and bats differ, since this creature mixes features of both. The page is free to print.
