Winking Explorer Boy Looking Through a Spyglass

A cheerful boy with spiky hair squints one eye shut and winks while he looks through a spyglass held up to his other eye. He has an open, smiling mouth. He wears a short-sleeved shirt under a utility vest with a flap pocket and a zipper, plus a backpack with straps showing at his side. His cargo shorts have a pocket on the leg, and he has a wristband on one arm and chunky hiking boots with folded-down socks. The large shapes of the vest, shorts and boots are easy for small hands to fill in. Try khaki and olive greens for the outfit, then talk about what you would pack for a hike or what you might spot through a spyglass. This free page works well for outdoor-themed lessons.
