Ice Skating Winnie the Pooh with a Streaming Striped Scarf

Here's Pooh out on the ice, gliding along on old-fashioned blade skates. He leans forward with a big open-mouthed smile and his eyes squeezed shut happily. His long striped scarf is wrapped around his neck and trails out behind him with fringed ends, so the whole page feels like it's moving. Over his round tummy he wears a puffy vest or jacket, and his arms are tucked in close. A few short sketchy lines under the skates show the ice, and a bare branch pokes in from the left edge. The scarf stripes are great for practicing alternating colors, maybe red with cream, or two snug shades of blue. The PDF is free to print at home, handy for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big brown areas: color Pooh's head, cheeks, ears, arms and legs honey brown, leaving the snowy background and skate boot toes white.
- 2Fill the jacket with sky blue, covering the belly, back and arm so the bright blue shape stands out against the brown.
- 3Color the striped scarf next: alternate cherry red and forest green stripes along the long streaming tail, adding a coral red stripe and a dusty gray band near the shoulder.
- 4Add the neck scarf in cherry red and tomato red at the chin, then the olive green band and scarf ends.
- 5Color the skate blades light gray and the snow shine on the ice white, keeping the highlights untouched.
- 6Optional: add a little darker brown shading under Pooh's chin and along the jacket folds to add depth.
