Woman Scientist in Long Skirt Examining a Raised Flask

A woman in a long skirt and a blouse with striped sleeves and a ruffled collar stands in profile, holding a small flask up in her raised right hand. She looks at it closely. In her other hand she holds a round-bottom flask with a long neck, along with a thin glass rod. Beside her, a tall stand holds a cone-shaped flask on a tripod, and two stoppered bottles sit next to it. Her hair is pinned up in a bun. The lab equipment has plenty of smooth glass surfaces, so it is good practice for shading and highlights. Try coloring the liquid in each flask a different shade, then talk with kids about what scientists might be testing. This free page works well for a science lesson or a quiet afternoon.
