Xylophone Music with Hello Kitty and a Little Mouse
Coloring guide
Seated on the ground, Hello Kitty holds a mallet in each raised hand, ready to tap a six-bar xylophone in front of her. Her big bow has a round center, and her overalls have two round buttons and a rounded bib pocket. Three music notes float in the upper right as the tune plays. A small mouse sits in the bottom right corner with one large round ear and closed eyes, holding a stick like a baton or mallet, and it looks happy listening. Its tail curls along the ground. Bold lines and big, simple shapes make this a good pick for preschoolers and early learners. Try bright red for the bow and overalls, then give every xylophone bar a different rainbow color. - 1Fill Hello Kitty's overalls, both bow loops and the small bow knot in cherry red, leaving the face and paws white.
- 2Color the xylophone bars from left to right: cherry red, tangerine orange, golden yellow, grass green, sky blue and violet purple, then fill the base in honey brown.
- 3Paint the little mouse in sky blue, using pale blue for its paw and mallet tip and bright blue for its feet and the tail area.
- 4Color the mallet heads cherry red and add bubblegum pink to the bib and the shoulder detail on the overalls.
- 5Add golden yellow to Hello Kitty's nose, the buttons and the top music note, then color the pink note and the two bright blue notes.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the edges of the overalls and the mouse to give the drawing more depth.
