Xylophone With Two Mallets and Letter Xx

Xylophone With Two Mallets and Letter Xx coloring page

Coloring guide

A xylophone fills the top of the page, drawn as a slanted trapezoid frame with eight rounded bars that grow taller from left to right. Each bar has two little dots for the screws or pegs holding it in place. Two long mallets with round heads rest on the two tallest bars on the right, and their sticks slant down across the instrument toward the lower left. Below the picture sit a big capital X and a small lowercase x, both drawn in outline so they are easy to color in. Kids could color each bar a different color, going from short to tall, and count all eight bars out loud. Then they can trace the X and x with a finger and say the word xylophone, listening for the x sound. This free printable works well for a letter of the week activity at home or in class.
