Young Buck Deer Looking Back Over Its Shoulder

Coloring guide
A young buck stands with its body angled away while its head turns back toward us. Two short, forked antlers rise from its head, and its large ears are open and alert. The face has a dark oval eye, a solid black nose, and a few small lines around the brow. The slim legs are drawn with dark hooves, and the back legs are stepped to one side as if the deer is about to walk. A short tail sticks up at the rear, and a few light lines mark the chest and neck. The outlines are clean and the body is a big open shape, so it works well for younger kids who like room to color. Try soft browns and tans for the coat, then leave the tail tip and antlers a lighter shade. This free printable is also a nice prompt for talking about how bucks grow antlers.
