Alert Young Buck With Slim Straight Antlers

Coloring guide
A young buck stands in a three-quarter pose with its body angled left and its head turned to look straight out at you. It has two thin, upright antlers with no extra branches, large rounded ears with inner line details, a dark nose, and a small tuft of fur under the chin. Its slender legs end in small hooves, and a short tail shows at the rear. Behind the deer, rows of wavy lines mark rolling fields, with a few grass tufts along the ground. Puffy, scalloped bushes and a few bare, twisting branches fill the top of the page. Try soft tans and warm browns on the body, then pale pink inside the ears. Use darker browns for the antlers so they stand out against a sky left white or washed with light blue. This free printable also works well for a quick lesson on how male deer grow antlers.
