Young Doe Walking With Head Turned Back

Coloring guide
A slender doe walks across the page with one front leg lifted mid-step, her head turned to look back over her shoulder. Her large ears point out to the sides, and you can see her eye, nose, and a short tail with a dark tip at the back. Small hatch lines on the neck, chest, and belly suggest fur, and the chest has a jagged patch of fluffier lines. The background is plain white, so there is lots of room to add your own grass or trees. Kids can try soft browns and tans for the body, a lighter shade on the chest, and a darker color for the hooves and tail tip. This page is also a nice prompt for talking about how deer walk on their hooves, and which deer have antlers and which do not.
