Young Farmer Scattering Seeds, a Jesus / Bible Category Page
Coloring guide
A smiling boy in a wide-brimmed hat, overalls and tall rubber boots walks across a field, scattering seeds from his open hand. A big sack of seeds is hugged against his side, and tiny seeds fall toward the soil. Small green sprouts and grass tufts dot the rows, and large round vegetables peek in from the bottom right corner. A grassy hill and a few bushes sit on the horizon, and three little birds flutter overhead. This page is filed under Jesus / Bible, so it could go well with a talk about planting and growing, though the picture itself just shows a young farmer at work. Denim blue for the overalls, straw yellow for the hat and spring green for the sprouts would all look great. The open spaces are easy for little hands, and it's a free printable. Kids who like Jesus / Bible coloring pages usually enjoy Flowers and Spring too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color both birds in the sky with sky blue, leaving their eyes white.
- 2Fill the face, hands, arms, ears and neck with peach skin, keeping the eyes and little shine spots white.
- 3Color the hat crown and brim golden yellow, add a rust red hat band, and fill the hair with chestnut brown.
- 4Paint the overalls and straps denim blue, the shirt and rolled sleeves bright red, and the seed sack pale gold with the beans left light.
- 5Color the boots chestnut brown with dark brown soles, the soil caramel brown, and the hill, bushes and sprouts leaf green or forest green. Optional: add a little darker shading under the hat and along the boots for depth.
