Young Witch and Owl Reading a Spellbook
Coloring guide
On a wide tree stump sits a smiling young witch with a big closed spellbook in her lap, while a little owl on her shoulder seems to read along. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: fill the girl's face, neck and hands, and the owl's face and belly with light peach, leaving the eye whites and eye shine white.
- 2Color the witch's hat, cape and long dress with medium purple, using deep purple for the hat brim, hat band, buckle and the shadowed folds near the hem.
- 3Fill the stump and the boots with warm brown, then color the top of the stump and its right side with tan, leaving the top rim light.
- 4Color the spellbook cover dark green, its spine and pages light, and the star emblem golden yellow, with the brooch on the cape in golden yellow too.
- 5Add the leaves: red and orange for the upper leaves, golden yellow for the leaves on the left and right sides, and the sock and stocking details in lavender and pale lilac.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of each color along one side of the hat, dress and stump for a little depth.
