Lightning Lines Around Zenitsu in a Demon Slayer Close-Up
Coloring guide
Zenitsu Agatsuma from Demon Slayer fills this close-up portrait, head slightly lowered, eyes shut and brows pinched in a serious frown. His messy, spiky hair has jagged tips and lots of fine strand lines to color. Under his triangle-patterned haori he wears a high-collared buttoned uniform, and the scattered triangles are good small spaces for practicing neat coloring. Long, jagged lightning-style lines run down both sides and frame his face. The background is plain white, which keeps the focus on him. Golden yellow for the hair and haori, with bright blue or purple on the zigzag bolts, makes a fun mix. Pick up this free printable PDF for a screen-free activity at home. - bright yellow

- peach skin
- charcoal black
- tangerine orange
- light gray
- golden amber
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the hair, the jacket and the lightning strands on the left and top left with bright yellow, using light strokes that follow the flow of the hair and fabric.
- 2Add lemon yellow to the thin lightning lines on the left side so they stand out from the jacket.
- 3Fill the face, forehead, temples and ears with peach skin, and color the eyebrow with golden amber.
- 4Use tangerine orange for the hair tips and the small shaded patches near the ears and eyes.
- 5Color the collar and inner shirt with charcoal black, then fill the round button and the small tag with light gray.
- 6Leave the white triangle patterns on the jacket, the eye whites, the background and the white corners untouched. Optional: add a few darker yellow lines on the jacket folds for depth.
