Angel Blowing a Long Horn, a Zentangle Design

Every part of the drawing is filled with hand-drawn patterns. The wide sleeve has crosses, zigzags and swirls, the large folded wing is packed with hearts, paisley shapes and dots, and the long gown is divided into bands of spirals, stripes, leaf shapes, tiny hearts and a row of crosses along the hem. A border of hearts, leaves, beads and small flowers frames the whole page. Try coloring each band of the gown in a different color family so the layers stand out, then keep the wing softer with just two or three shades. The small sections are a good fit for fine-tip markers or sharp colored pencils, and the page works well for a quiet winter afternoon.
