Zoo Animals Path with Zebra, Hippo, Parrot and Kangaroo
Coloring guide
A winding dirt path takes you through a cheerful zoo and past four smiling animals. At the upper left a striped zebra stands on a raised stone platform behind a wooden fence, and below it a hippo relaxes in a pond with a big grin. Over on the right, a parrot perches on a branch in front of a lattice enclosure, and a mother kangaroo stands in her pen with a baby peeking from her pouch. Keep an eye out for a small gazebo, distant hills, clouds, leafy trees, bushes, rocks and a few flowers in the background. This free printable is a good fit for kids who like hunting for little details. Bold greens for the foliage and a bright red and blue parrot will make the right side pop. It also fits right in with your Animals collection, next to Puppies and Cats.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the sky blue and leave the fluffy clouds white.
- 2Fill the pond water with sky blue and the hippo with lavender gray, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 3Color the sandy path and the tree trunks with sandy tan and brown, then add the zebra and kangaroo details in their soft tones.
- 4Add the grass and trees in grass green, lime green and forest green, building the leafy areas one patch at a time.
- 5Finish the parrot with golden yellow and red on its chest, and color the kangaroo body in orange.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the bushes with a darker green to make the leaves pop.
