Zooming Rainbow Dash With Sweeping Mane and Tail

A cartoon pony with big sparkly eyes and a happy open-mouth smile zooms through the air in this line drawing. Her wings are stretched out behind her, and her long mane sweeps back in layered, pointed strands, with a matching streaming tail flowing off to the right. She has long eyelashes, a small pointed ear, and what looks like a little pendant hanging at her chest. Her front legs reach forward while her back legs trail below, which gives the whole page a feeling of fast motion. The thick outlines are easy to follow, so younger kids can stay inside the lines. Try coloring the mane and tail in stripes, one color per section of hair, and then talk about the order of colors in a real rainbow. This free printable also works well for practicing crayon control on the narrow feathers.
