Adult Coloring Reef Scene With a Gliding Sea Turtle
Coloring guide
A smiling sea turtle glides diagonally through this underwater scene, with a shell of large plates and flippers covered in small scale patterns. The reef around it is packed with branching coral, sea anemones, wavy seaweed and tube sponges. Look closely and you'll find a striped angelfish at the top left, a clownfish near the top right, a spotted pufferfish-style fish on the right, a small clownfish peeking out of the anemone at the bottom, and several little schools of tiny fish. Round bubbles float up through the water. The fine, intricate lines suit older kids, teens and grown-ups who like settling in with colored pencils or fine-tip markers. Soft greens and golden browns work on the shell, and bright orange on the clownfish stands out against cool blue and purple coral. Grab the free PDF whenever you want a quick coloring break. - 2Color the turtle's head and body with pale yellow, then fill the flippers and front leg with lime green and yellow green for the scale pattern.
- 3Add the reef greens and corals: leaf green for the seaweed on both sides, and light coral, coral red and hot pink for the corals.
- 4Fill the fish next: bright yellow and ocean blue stripes on the angelfish, bright orange on the small fish, and sand beige with cream on the spotted fish.
- 5Finish with the clownfish in bright orange, leaving its white bands, belly and the background bubbles white. Optional: add a little dusty rose or tan to the bottom corals for extra depth.
