Ariel and Flounder Exploring a Sunken Ship

Ariel swims through the water at the top left with her long hair flowing behind her and her tail fin curled below her. Beside her is Flounder, the little fish, and both look down toward a broken shipwreck. A pointed mast or pole sticks up from the wreck, with torn cloth hanging off it and a hook-shaped piece near the middle. The curved wooden hull on the right has planks and bands across it, and ragged, splintered edges show where it has fallen apart. Lots of round bubbles float up the middle of the page, and wavy seaweed grows on the left. A cluster of rounded stones or eggs sits at the bottom. An empty speech bubble in the top right is ready for kids to fill in. Try coloring the bubbles in pale blues and purples, then write what Ariel is saying to Flounder in the blank bubble. It makes a nice short storytelling activity for home or class.
