Ariel Resting on a Rock Looking at Reflection

A mermaid with long flowing hair leans forward on a rounded rock that rises out of calm water, resting her cheek on one hand with her eyes closed and a gentle smile. Her other arm reaches down so her fingertip just touches the surface, sending soft ripples outward. Below her, the water shows an upside-down reflection of a young man's face, framed by swirling wavy lines. A second rock sits on the right, a flat horizon line runs across the middle, and a puffy cloud outline floats in the upper left. This free printable works well for talking about reflections with kids. Try coloring the reflection in slightly softer shades than the real figure, so the water looks like a mirror. Blues and greens suit the ripples nicely, and the rocks can be shaded in layers of gray and brown.
