Moon Walk With Astronaut Dad, Father's Day Space Page
Coloring guide
An astronaut dad and his young son stand side by side on a cratered moon surface, a fun space scene for Father's Day coloring. Dad rests a gloved hand on the boy's shoulder, and the boy grins inside his helmet and gives a big thumbs up. Both wear full spacesuits with chest control panels, knee pads, belts, backpacks and chunky boots. A rocket ship with a round porthole window and a small ladder is parked behind them, and a ringed planet, a cratered moon and plenty of stars fill the sky. Rocks, boulders and small craters cover the ground. There's lots of space on the suits and rocket for crayons. Silver or light blue suits, a bright red rocket and warm yellow stars would look great. It's a free printable that makes a sweet gift for dad, and the large shapes suit many ages. Fans of Father's Day coloring pages often like New Year and Halloween as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big white spacesuits of the dad and the boy, leaving the suit areas and the white belts, pockets and shine spots untouched.
- 2Color the moon, rocks and ground in gray and light gray, leaving the craters as simple shapes.
- 3Fill the faces with peach, then color the dad's hair brown and the helmets' glass in sky blue and pale blue, keeping the eye whites and bright shine spots white.
- 4Add royal blue to the gloves, boots, knee pads, chest panel and backpack straps, then color the rocket's nose and fins in red and its window in gray.
- 5Color the ringed planet with golden yellow and orange, and add the small yellow badge on the dad's shoulder.
- 6Optional: Add a little gray shading under the spacesuits and rocks to make the page feel more three dimensional.
