Astronaut Spider Floating Past the Moon

Coloring guide
Floating through space in a round glass astronaut helmet with little earpieces on each side, this smiling cartoon spider has big shiny eyes. A checkered, net-like tether runs from the helmet up to a small rocket with a round window and a burst of flame at the bottom. A large cratered moon sits behind the spider, and a ringed planet with wavy stripes fills the bottom corner. Small asteroids with crater dots drift around the edges, and stars of every size fill the background, including a few sparkly four-point ones. The striped legs and fuzzy body give kids plenty of different areas to work on. Purple or orange suits the body, and bright yellow is great for the rocket flame. Save it as a free PDF for kids and coloring fans of all ages. Fans of Spider coloring pages often like Octopus and Panda as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big moon in the top right and the planet at the bottom right: fill the moon with golden yellow and leave the crater rings orange, keeping the outlines white.
- 2Color the spider's body and head in deep purple, then fill the helmet visor with light sky blue, leaving the white glare shapes on the glass untouched.
- 3Fill the eye whites and the helmet glare spots with white, and add the mouth and eye details carefully so the face stays bright and cheerful.
- 4Color the spider's legs with alternating purple and orange bands, using lavender and medium purple on some segments for variety.
- 5Fill the web tail with bright sky blue and light sky blue in a scale pattern, then color the rocket with red fins, a white body, and a lemon yellow flame.
- 6Finish the small details: color the asteroids in stone gray, the ringed planet in deep purple with hot pink stripes, and the stars in golden yellow. Optional: add a little shading on the moon and planet with a slightly darker shade.
