Baby Elephant and Bird Pal Out for Golf
Coloring guide
A baby elephant with a big smile holds a golf club in its trunk, about to tap a dimpled golf ball waiting in the grass ahead. A small round bird sits on the elephant's ear and watches happily. The background has tall palm trees, a calm pond, leafy bushes, distant hills and puffy clouds. A flag stands in the hole on the green on the right. Tufts of grass dot the lawn, and flowers fill the bottom corners. Big ears, wrinkled legs and a tufted tail give kids lots of fun spaces to color, and the wide open areas work for crayons or markers. Soft blue-gray looks nice on the elephant, and a bright yellow or sky blue bird will pop against the ear. This free printable suits a quiet afternoon or a sports-themed class activity. - 1Start with the big background areas: fill the sky clouds and lake with pale blue, and color the grass ground and foreground with lime green.
- 2Color the elephant's head, body and legs in gray, leaving the eye whites and toenails white.
- 3Fill both ears and the cheek area with soft pink, then color the tail tip in charcoal.
- 4Color the palm trees and bushes in leaf green, medium green and dark green, the palm trunks in warm brown, and the distant mountain in turquoise.
- 5Add the bird in bright blue, the flag in red, the flower centers in bright pink, and the golf club head in silver.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker gray under the elephant and deeper green in the shadowy parts of the bushes to make the drawing look more lively.
