Putting Practice: Boy Lining Up a Short Putt
Coloring guide
A smiling boy in a baseball cap bends over his putter, lining up a short putt on the green with both hands on the club. He wears a buttoned polo, shorts, tall socks and lace-up sneakers. A dimpled ball sits on the grass in front of the putter head, and across the green a pennant flag stands on a tall pole next to the hole. Rounded bushes, a few fluffy trees and tufts of grass fill the course behind him. Bold outlines and big open areas are good for young kids, while the shirt, cap and sneakers give older kids small details to work on. Red or blue for the cap and polo, and two shades of green on the putting green, would look nice. The free PDF prints easily at home for a quiet creative moment. This fits right in with our Golf coloring pages — see also WWE / Wrestling and NBA / Basketball.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the fairway and grass tufts light green, and the big stripe of ground behind the hole too, leaving the sky and open background white.
- 2Fill the tree and bush leaves with forest green and paint the tree trunks warm brown.
- 3Paint the polo shirt and the flag bright red, then color the boy's arms, hands, face and legs peach.
- 4Color the shorts khaki beige, the cap and both shoes bright blue, and the hair dark brown.
- 5Add the putter head and ball in light gray, color the shoelaces pale blue, and leave the socks and the bright white eye shine untouched.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of each color along one side of the trees and shirt to give them a little depth.
