Nursery Playtime with Baby and a Plush Elephant
Coloring guide
Sitting on a round rug trimmed with flowers, a smiling baby in a heart-patterned onesie holds the trunk of a big stitched stuffed elephant wearing a bow. The scene is a cozy nursery. On the left stands a crib with a star-print blanket and a star and moon mobile overhead. A rocking chair with a heart pillow and a polka-dot blanket sits under a window with heart-print curtains. On the right, a shelf holds a teddy bear, a bunny, a small elephant, a giraffe, a puppy in a basket and a few books. A stacking ring toy, building blocks, a star ball and a rattle are scattered over the wooden floor. Pastels like baby blue or lavender would suit the elephant, with warm yellow on the star blanket. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big blue rug: fill the rug ring and its border with sky blue, and add light blue to the rug's inner areas and flower shapes.
- 2Color the elephant in light gray, keeping the trunk, ears and feet in the same shade, and add blush pink to the inner ears and feet.
- 3Fill the baby's pajamas with sky blue and the baby's skin with light skin tone, leaving the eye whites, shoe and background white.
- 4Color the crib and wooden floor in caramel and honey, then add pale yellow to the crib blanket and butter cream to the heart pillow.
- 5Finish the toys and details: make the stacking rings in orange, red and deep blue, the block in red and leaf green, and the star ball in steel blue. Optional: add a little darker blue along the edges of the pajamas for depth.
