Baby Seal Pup Resting on the Sand by Three Seashells

Coloring guide
A chubby seal pup sits up on a patch of sand, head tilted, with big shiny eyes looking off to one side. It has a small smile, a round nose, long whiskers, tiny ear flaps and a little tuft of hair on top. One back flipper is raised in a friendly wave while the front flippers rest on the ground. Dots on the sand and soft sand mounds fill the background. Three seashells line the bottom: two scallop-style shells and a small spiral shell between them. The shapes are big and the lines clean, so preschoolers and early learners should do well with this free printable. Silvery gray or warm brown works for the pup, pale yellow for the sand, and pink or lavender for the shells. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the whole seal, including its body, head, flippers, cheeks and ears, with blue gray, leaving the two big eyes white.
- 2Color the sand dune on the right side of the picture with soft yellow.
- 3Color the left shell with coral pink, the right shell with mint teal, and the small spiral shell in the middle with lavender purple.
- 4Color the seal's nose with charcoal gray, then keep the eye whites and the small shine spots in the eyes white.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker blue gray along the seal's belly and under the flippers to make it look rounder.
- 6Finish by checking that the whiskers and outlines are still clear and that no white spaces were missed.
