Baby Spider Swinging From a Tree Branch

Coloring guide
On a wooden swing sits a smiling baby spider with big sparkly eyes and a little tuft of hair, gripping the ropes with two legs. The ropes hang from a long tree branch, and a small round bird perches on top of it, looking down at the spider with a cheerful face. Little motion lines on both sides show the swing rocking back and forth. Leaves fill the corners and sprout from the branch, and a few puffy clouds drift behind. Large shapes and bold lines make it a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids building pencil control. Try soft purple or orange for the round body, bright blue for the bird and a few shades of green for the leaves. Print it free for a quick coloring break any time. Add this to your Spider coloring page collection, alongside Octopus and Panda.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the chick's round head and body in golden yellow, leaving the two big eye whites and the bright shine spots bare.
- 2Color the tree trunk and branches, the swing seat and the swing bar in warm brown, keeping the lighter stem tips white.
- 3Fill the leaves in leaf green and the small clouds in pale blue, working from the top of the page down.
- 4Color the bird's wings in sky blue and its beak in orange, then add the pale blue chin.
- 5Add the chick's legs and hands with orange and deep orange, and give the open mouth a coral pink fill.
- 6Optional: Add a little soft yellow or lemon yellow shading on the body edges and a touch of yellow green on the back legs to add depth.
