Little Unicorn Jumping Over a Rainbow
Coloring guide
A happy baby unicorn is caught mid-jump above a big rainbow, front legs reaching forward and back legs kicked out behind. The wavy mane and swishy tail stream along with the motion, and the striped spiral horn, pointed ears, long-lashed eyes and open smile make it look playful. The rainbow arches across the bottom of the page and finishes in two fluffy clouds, one on each side. Thick outlines and big open areas are friendly to preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still working on pencil control. Pastel pink and lavender would suit the mane and tail, and classic bright rainbow colors on the arches will make the unicorn stand out. Print it free and add it to your pile. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the unicorn's body and the lower parts of the legs with light pink, leaving the eye shine white.
- 2Color both clouds at the ends of the rainbow with pale blue, keeping the outlines crisp.
- 3Color the rainbow arcs from outside to inside: coral pink first, then golden yellow, sky blue, and finally lavender purple on the innermost arc.
- 4Color the mane and tail with the same pattern of stripes: coral pink, golden yellow, sky blue, and lavender purple, repeating the order from the rainbow.
- 5Color the hooves and leg tips lavender purple, then the horn with golden yellow, sky blue, and lavender purple stripes, and the inner ears and cheeks with rose pink.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the lower edges of the body and the tail strands to make the colors pop.
