Tulip Garden Unicorns Watching Three Butterflies
Coloring guide
In a grassy meadow, a smiling young unicorn gazes up at three butterflies fluttering above its horn. It has big sparkly eyes, long wavy locks, a swirled spiral horn and a flowing curly tail. Tulips, daisy-style flowers and grass tufts surround its hooves, and soft rounded bushes sit in the background. Clean lines and large shapes keep things comfortable for younger kids, and the wavy mane and wing patterns leave room for finer detail. Pastel rainbow colors on the mane and tail would work well, and each butterfly could get its own wing pattern to match the flowers below. It's a free printable for quiet time at home or a spring classroom project. Looking for more? Our Skeleton and Vampire coloring pages pair nicely with this Unicorns page.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the grass and bushes: color the grass areas and the bushes at the sides and bottom in grass green, and the darker leaves in forest green.
- 2Fill the tulips in bubblegum pink and blush pink, and the tulip flowers and their leaves in leaf green.
- 3Color the unicorn's mane with a mix of sky blue, lilac, sunny yellow, and bubblegum pink, and the tail in periwinkle purple, lilac, and sunny yellow.
- 4Paint the hooves and the horn in periwinkle purple and sunny yellow. Leave the unicorn body, legs, and the eye shine white.
- 5Add the butterflies in sunny yellow, bubblegum pink, and periwinkle purple, then color the daisies with sunny yellow centers and lilac petals.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a slightly darker shade of the same color along the mane and tail to make them look fuller.
