Fresh Bread in the Brick Oven: Blippi Baker Page
Coloring guide
A smiling baker in a tall chef hat and apron slides a wooden peel holding three crusty loaves into a big brick oven. Next to him, a young boy in his own little chef hat and apron watches with a happy, open-mouth grin. The bakery shelves behind them are packed with round scored loaves, long baguettes, a basket of bread rolls, muffins, cinnamon swirl rolls and croissants, and a hanging lamp and a wood plank floor finish the room. Kids who love to cook or help in the kitchen tend to enjoy this one, and the free printable PDF suits a quiet afternoon. Golden-brown and tan crayons fit the loaves and pastries, and bright red or blue aprons will make the two bakers pop. - 1Start with the brick oven and the big bread loaves: fill the oven bricks with terracotta, then color the bread loaves and the baking tray in amber orange and caramel brown.
- 2Color the wooden floor and shelves with warm tan and honey gold, using simple plank lines to suggest the boards.
- 3Fill the chef's skin and hands with peach, and color his apron and the boy's apron in cream, leaving the shirts white.
- 4Add the chef's pants and the boy's jeans in medium blue and dark navy, and the shoes in dark brown and cream.
- 5Color the boy's hair and the chef's hat details, keeping the hat and the background walls white for a bright, airy look.
- 6Optional: Add a little charcoal gray inside the oven opening and a light gray touch on the lamp for depth.
