Captain Blippi Pointing at a Leaping Dolphin
Coloring guide
A smiling boy in a captain's hat and striped shirt leans over the side of a small fishing boat, pointing at a dolphin that's jumping out of the water. The dolphin has a happy open mouth, with big splashes spraying around its tail. Fishing nets with round floats hang over both sides of the boat, and behind the boy you'll see a little cabin with a square window, a chimney pipe and a mast with a flag. Wavy sea lines, splashes at the bow and two puffy clouds round out the picture. Blue works nicely for the dolphin and the sea, with red and white stripes on the shirt and warm yellow planks on the boat. The free PDF is handy for classroom time or a rainy day. This fits right in with our Blippi coloring pages — see also Pororo and Winnie the Pooh.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sea areas: color the water on the right and bottom with sky blue, leaving little white foam splashes around the boat.
- 2Fill the dolphin with steel blue, then add ice blue on its belly and light sky blue on the splash around it.
- 3Color the boat hull: bright red on the top and side stripes, bright blue on the lower hull, and leave the middle stripes white.
- 4Paint the captain's face and hands light peach, his hair chestnut brown, his cap navy blue with a bright blue band, and his shirt with white and pale blue stripes.
- 5Add the tall mast in lemon yellow, the small cabin in bright red and bright blue, and the fishing net in warm brown with golden yellow and tangerine floats.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the hull and the net for depth, and keep the cloud and background sky white.
