Butterfly Dress Barbie from Dreamtopia
Coloring guide
This Barbie from the Dreamtopia line smiles with one hand on her hip and the other arm relaxed at her side. Long wavy hair falls past her shoulders, and a small flower accent sits near the top of her head. Her flowing, mid-length dress has a fitted bodice with little flowers and swirls near the neckline. Outlined butterflies are scattered over the full skirt, which ends in a layered, scalloped hem. She wears simple flat shoes, and since there's no background the whole page is about her outfit. It's a free printable that works well for kids who love fashion and detailed dresses. Soft lavender or sky blue looks nice on the skirt, and bright pinks and yellows will make the butterflies stand out. Younger children can tackle the large butterflies, while older kids can work on the hair and the bodice flowers. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big dress skirt: color the whole full skirt bubblegum pink, leaving the thin white lines between the panels so the seams still show.
- 2Fill the bodice top with lavender and the hem band along the bottom of the skirt with hot pink, which adds a nice contrast at the edge.
- 3Color the skin areas such as the face, neck, arms, and legs with light peach, and leave the eye whites and small highlights white.
- 4Color the long wavy hair with butter yellow, adding cream white highlights along the top and sides for shine.
- 5Add the butterflies: use sky blue and pale periwinkle for the wings, with magenta and dusty mauve accents, leaving a few white spots on the wings.
- 6Optional: finish with a little amber on the flower necklace and small shadows along the skirt folds, and keep the logo highlights white.
