Dreamtopia Barbie Mermaid Relaxing on Her Tummy
Coloring guide
This Dreamtopia mermaid is lying on her tummy with her head propped on one hand and her other arm stretched out in front, smiling the whole time. Long wavy hair curls out behind her in big ribbon-like loops. She wears a pearl-style headband, a small seashell tucked in her hair, a star pendant on a choker, and a ridged shell-style top. Her curved tail is covered in rows of scallop-shaped scales and finishes in a big, graceful fin that sweeps up behind her. With no background, the mermaid is the entire picture, which makes it easier for younger kids. Teal and purple scales fading into a pink fin would look lovely, and gold is a good pick for the hair. It's a free page to print for a classroom project or a weekend craft. Love this Barbie coloring page? You might also enjoy our Dog Man and Puppy Dog Pals coloring pages.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the tail fin and the big tail stripes in turquoise and light violet, leaving the thin white edges around them.
- 2Color the mermaid's face, arms and shoulders in peach skin, keeping the white highlights on the lips and nose area bright.
- 3Fill the long flowing hair with pale yellow and golden yellow, leaving white strands here and there for shine.
- 4Add the scales of the lower tail with hot pink, sky blue, turquoise and ocean blue, alternating colors as you go.
- 5Color the top and the stripes of the bodice in rose pink and light violet, then add the lilac and mauve accents on the lower tail.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shade of each color along one side of the tail scales for a bit of depth.
