Mermaid Barbie Lounging with Her Chin in Hand

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• turquoise
• light sky blue
• peach skin
• pale lemon yellow
• golden yellow
• hot pink
• butter yellow

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big tail: fill the large lower tail and the upper fins with turquoise, leaving the inner curve of the tail white.
2. 2Color the top fins of the tail with light sky blue, keeping the pearls near the fin tips white.
3. 3Fill the mermaid's skin, including the arm, shoulder, neck and face, with peach skin.
4. 4Color the top and pink top with hot pink, then add the diamond in the middle of it as white.
5. 5Fill the long flowing hair with golden yellow, butter yellow and pale lemon yellow, alternating shades strand by strand.
6. 6Optional: Leave the eye whites, the teeth and the background white, and add a little extra shading on the tail for depth.
