Rocking Chair Barbie Holding a Baby
Coloring guide
Leaning back in a wooden rocking chair, this doll-style Barbie has a small baby resting in her lap and gives the viewer a gentle smile. Her long hair is parted, with thin braids falling down both sides of her face. She wears a wrap-style top with a big bow at the waist, a knee-length skirt and chunky strappy sandals, and her legs stretch out in front. A large dashed heart outline with a smaller stitched-style heart inside it sits behind her. The chair has curved rockers, a slatted back and wide armrests, so there are lots of areas to fill in. Soft pinks and lavenders suit the heart and her bow, and warm wood browns are perfect for the chair. The free printable PDF needs no sign-up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the dress and the baby's yellow onesie first: fill the big blue dress areas with sky blue and the baby's top with butter yellow.
- 2Paint the rocking chair frame, seat, armrests and rockers in wood brown, leaving the small gaps between the legs white.
- 3Fill the skin areas like the face, neck, arms and legs with peach skin, and color the baby's face and hands the same way.
- 4Add the hair in a soft brown, and color the pink bows with rose pink and hot pink; use lilac for the sash panel.
- 5Color the small heart in light pink, the cushion on the chair back in red, and the shoes in taupe and hot pink.
- 6Optional: Add light shading in a darker blue on the dress folds and a little dark brown under the hair for depth. Leave the background and the eye whites white.
