Basket Packed With Apples Plus Two on the Ground

Coloring guide
A sturdy woven basket sits in the middle, with a rope-twist handle arching overhead. Four big apples fill it, each with a short stem, and leafy sprigs poke out between them. The weave is drawn as chunky rectangular bricks. Two more whole apples rest on the ground at the bottom left and bottom right, and each one has its own stem and leaves. Lines are bold and clean, with lots of open room inside the apples, leaves and weave, so young kids with fat crayons can manage it while older children can enjoy the small details. Red and green apples look nice with golden-brown on the basket and twisted handle, or toss in a few yellow apples for variety. You can download it as a free PDF for your growing collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the top apple, the right apple and the bottom left apple with cherry red, leaving small white shine spots on each apple.
- 2Color the left apple and the bottom right apple with golden yellow, then fill the center front apple with lime green.
- 3Color all the leaves grass green and the apple stems dark brown.
- 4Color the basket rim and the twisted handle with light tan, and fill the woven basket bricks with caramel brown, dark brown and wheat beige in a checkered pattern.
- 5Optional: add a little darker shading along one side of each apple and the basket for depth, and leave the background white.
