Basketball Dropping Through the Net

Coloring guide
Here a basketball drops down through the net of a hoop, drawn with clean, bold outlines. The ball sits low in the crisscrossing net and its curved seams are easy to see. A round rim is attached to a rectangular backboard with a smaller square in the middle, and a tall thick pole runs along the right side. No background scene, so the page stays simple. Big spaces and thick lines make it friendly for younger kids, and it's a free printable that can be finished in one sitting. You could go with an orange ball and dark seams, a red or white net, and a bright team color on the backboard. Those diamond-shaped net openings are good practice for small, careful strokes with markers or colored pencils. Love this Basketball coloring page? - orange
- sky blue
- golden yellow
- bright red
- gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the whole basketball with orange, working across its curved panels so the black lines stay crisp.
- 2Color the metal rim and its bracket golden yellow, keeping the backboard and net strands white.
- 3Fill the long support pole with sky blue, leaving its cap and the thin edge lines as they are.
- 4Add bright red to the band of net strands behind the rim, and color the small triangle near the left side gray.
- 5Leave the backboard, its inner square, and the white net strands untouched so they stay bright and clean.
- 6Optional: add a few light diagonal pencil-style strokes on the ball and pole to give them a textured, hand-colored look.
