Swish! Basketball Dropping Through the Net

Coloring guide
Here the ball has just gone in, and it sits at the bottom of the net as if the shot is still settling. The hoop hangs in front of a rectangular backboard that has an inner square outline, plus a small bracket with two round bolts above the rim. The net has a diamond pattern with little knots where the strings cross. Four sparkle stars float around the hoop, and curved motion lines beside the ball make the shot feel fast. Everything is large and clearly outlined, so it's easy for kids to color. Orange for the ball, a red rim and a white or light gray net would look great, and yellow suits the sparkle stars. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- orange
- sky blue
- cherry red
- lemon yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the basketball: fill every panel of the ball with orange, leaving the dark seam lines untouched.
- 2Color the hoop rim in orange as well, including the small rounded end on the right.
- 3Fill the red bracket under the backboard with cherry red, leaving the two small round holes white.
- 4Use sky blue for the band of net just below the rim, keeping the rest of the net white.
- 5Color the four sparkles around the hoop in lemon yellow, leaving the backboard, the inside of the rim, and the open net cells white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker orange shading along the lower edges of the ball for depth.
