Beach Basketball Game by the Palm Trees
Coloring guide
On a sandy beach, a smiling boy dribbles a basketball while a girl with a ponytail reaches out a hand to defend. A hoop with a net and backboard stands behind them, its weighted base resting in the sand. Palm trees frame both sides, and a little sandcastle with a flag sits near the water's edge. Gentle waves and puffy clouds fill the background, and a starfish and two seashells lie in the sand up front. Both kids wear sleeveless tops, shorts and sneakers, so there are lots of simple shapes to color. Orange for the ball, sunny yellow for the sand and soft blues for the ocean work nicely. A free printable for sporty kids who love summer at the beach. More like this: explore the NBA / Basketball, Swimming and Tennis coloring page collections.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

- chestnut brown
- bright yellow
- tangerine orange
- bright red
- cool gray
- caramel brown

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky and sea: color the sea water with bright blue and the small waves and sea edges too, leaving the sky background and clouds white.
- 2Fill the palm trees with leaf green for the fronds and caramel brown for the trunks, then add chestnut brown to the boy's hair.
- 3Color the skin areas (faces, arms, legs, cheeks) with skin peach, and fill the girl's hair and ponytail with bright yellow.
- 4Color the boy's tank top and shorts with royal blue, and the girl's tank top and shorts with bright red, leaving the white trim lines unfilled.
- 5Add the basketball in tangerine orange, the sandcastle in light sand, and the sand in soft gold, then finish the shoes and hoop details in cool gray and sky blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading with a slightly darker shade on the sides of the palm trunks and the boy's shorts to make them pop.
